Witness the fitness
Plus how much fitba is too much fitba?
Hello
Heard a wee bit of A Level Playing Field interview with Willie Collum where he spoke about a barrier for women refereeing is passing the fitness test. I wondered but couldn’t be arsed researching how often the fitness tests take place each season because HOLY FUCK HAVE YOU EVER SPENT A MOMENT IN A MENS GAME TO WATCH THE REF TRYING TO RUN?
From left to right you’ve got teenage Nick Walsh, Steven McLean is hilarious to watch (thoroughly recommend), MacDermid runs like the sun is shining out his arse(face), chunky Beaton can never catch up with play, Grant Irvine has a stick permanently rammed up his arse and then there’s Clip Clop Clancy. The only pass is Don Robertson who absolutely strolls it.
Now then, when it comes to the fitba, how much is too much? Last night there were some cracking SWPL fixtures along with all the European stuff. Add to that games on TV pretty much seven days a week across many, many platforms.
