Last week’s first leg between PSG and Liverpool was a terrific football match. Last night’s return leg at Anfield was the best game of football I’ve seen all season and probably longer than that. A combination of the footballers skills, the tempo, the intensity and the occasion. Wonderful to watch as it ebbed and flowed. PSG were the better team again I thought and these three musketeers were instrumental in their performance and 1-0 win.

If you heard Alan Shearer’s commentary you’ll get the Him reference.

It went to penalties and after last week’s “could do better” report card for PSG keeper Donna Rumma he earned an A++ and a good star for his performance last night throughout the game and in the shootout.

Of course Darwin Nunez was always going to be the bookies favourite to miss and he didn’t disappoint.

He wasn’t alone as Curtis Jones effort could be generously described as lame.

I like this camera angle for penalties, I know not everyone is a fan though.
