The Thursday Stickler
It’s Derby Day!
It’s still New Year, still a holiday here in Scotland. To all you Stickler readers:
It’s bloody Baltic today. I don’t do icy pavements so very much staying indoors and over indulging in sport. Steak pie later too.
If you’re still a free subscriber then there’s only a couple of days left of the festive offer where you can get 20% off an annual subscription which works out at about 11p a day. To grab that offer Click here
Obviously the main shout today is the match at Ibrox. Sky Sports are giving Scottish fitba the full treatment as there’s no Premiership action with the Dundee derby thrown in too.
Rangers are without Tav, Souttar and now keeper Jack Butland after he was taken to hospital with a leg bleed.
Short arse Liam Kelly will deputise. I’m not sure how this one is going to go. With Celtic having a chance to go 17 points clear the Rangers fans seem resigned to their fate. Brendan Rodgers has been pretty low key over Christmas with a couple of comfy home wins. Another win today and he can probably take the rest of the league season off. What will be the mood of the Emperor today?
There are a few home managers that’ll be feeling the pressure today as well as Count Clement.
