Well that was an eventful weekend of Scottish football was it not.

CHAMPIONS!

Congratulations to Celtic on winning the Premiership by a country mile.

As I do every season there’s a new league winners design available in my shop. This time I’ve gone a bit different to previous years but I was so in love with how Sunshine on Leith turned out that I thought the Champions would deserve similar treatment. And here they are:

The watermark is there to protect the design online. If you’re interested in buying some Champions merch it’s available in green or white t-shirts, tea towels, mugs and prints. Click here to order.

Tangerine Bandwagon v Celtic. I didn’t see much of the game itself but it went as most do - a barrage of early goals and then cruise control. Celtic have scored way more goals than either of the seasons under Ange yet it doesn’t quite feel like that. Less swash, more buckle with Brendan.

Still, it was nice to see Daizen Maeda bursting through a maze of tangerines.

The game of the day was at Pittodrie as the Dons hosted a Leith Football Team riding the crest of an unbeaten wave. Somehow I managed to access pictures (but not words thankfully) in time for the second half. It was a pretty even match that needed a moment of magic to win it for either side. Will a goal of the season contender do?

If you thought Rio and Robbie were a bit OTT when Man U beat Lyon then you wouldn’t have liked Willie Miller’s impartial mutterings on Open All Mics.

There was no 96th minute equaliser for Leith this time. What started with this fixture in November ended with this fixture in April. A tremendous run from David Gray’s team.

They need to get their ship back on an even keel for the visit of a bruised Tangerine Bandwagon at the weekend.

Here’s something nice shared on Twitter by someone with the name Dons Collector. They bought the 2024 squad tea towel from the shop and have managed to get every player and Jimmy T to sign it.

It seems the players saw the funny side too which is great.

The last of the top six games saw Paisley Saints draw 2-2 at home to the Rangers. It didn’t mean much in the grand scheme of league placing but the Saints did more than enough to win and Barry was left frustrated at his players yet again as they failed to put what they practice onto the pitch. He’s at his wit’s end now.

THE BOTTOM SIX

Gorgie Analytics, Gorgie Analytics, Glorious Gorgie Analytics, it’s down at Tynecastle they lose.
