Well good evening

A late one today as it’s been a busy day. I’m holding off on posting any Deadline Day news until tomorrow. Something to look forward to eh.

I didn’t watch a minute of the International Egg Chasing at the weekend. Instead I was at Easter Road followed by a 60th birthday party and a tired Sunday.

Let’s start with the return of Jota - an absolute treat for me and for Celtic fans. He’s always been a Fitbatweets favourite character to draw and he’s so fucking handsome with it so it’s great to have him back. I’ve drawn a few of his goals in the past but this is the first time I’ve drawn him alone for the shop. Spent a lot of time on his hair.

You can get Jota on all kinds of T-shirt options, both images on a mug and prints and coasters. Click here to head to the shop

It was written in the stars that Jota would score on Sunday and score he did, thanks to a lovely ball from Ernie Angles and nice work from Maeda.

It was an emotional moment for the lad. Reading the room as always were the Sky Sports pundits Boyd and McGeady who popped out the arsehole they live in to mock Jota for having a wee cry.

Honestly, I’m sick of the punditry we get in Scotland. Nobody earns their way to the microphones here. All they need to be are an ex player or a recently binned manager. It works my ticket watching Naismith critiquing a Gorgie Analytics game. Guys like McGeady too offer absolutely nothing other than they are connected to Rangers or Celtic. We deserve much better.

So yeah, I was at Easter Road on Saturday to watch Leith Hibs beat Aberdeen (I could have written that line pre match).
