I write this in a state of mild shock. BBC Scotland’s championship coverage began tonight with a five minute preamble and no pundits. Just Jonathan Sutherland on his tod for a few minutes before handing it to thingummy on comms with Faddy. Is Scott Brown double booked or is this a sign of the cost cutting times. I bet SPFL Mediawatch knows.

Let’s start with some nice news. Martin O’Neill is recovering from his “small procedure” and Handsome Jota <swoon> is back in training.

That’s lovely so it is.

In other heartwarming news, Eva Olid was officially announced as boss of Man United women’s team.

I don’t know if it will sell much but I’ve got a cracking (in my opinion) idea for an Eva Olid merch design that will be right up there with my Arne Slot design. Hopefully she has more long term success than Arne.

We had four Scottish teams in Europe last night. Poor Igor had to head down to the lower lower lower basement of Hampden to feed The Coefficient the results.

These are hard times for Derek McInnes. It’s just as well they’ve got Leith at home on Sunday. I mean, if they don’t win that then the wood panelling will start shoogling at Ibrix.

Derek looks to a higher power for guidance.

The SFA or whoever’s running the damn thing have retired the KMI Panel that would routinely highlight the officiating howlers by Willie Collum’s crew.

If nothing else it seemed to add a layer of transparency we’ll no longer have. Instead it’ll just be Willie being handed those friendly soft lobs from Gordon Duncan every month.

There’s two games on the telly on Sunday featuring the usual suspects. If I do any live drawing you’ll find it on Twitter and Substack notes. I’ll also be kicking off the paying subscriber chat on Substack so look out for that. Maybe I’ll end up talking to myself.
