The Boxing Day Stickler
Tis the season to have multiple streaming services
Welcome to the Boxing Day edition of The Stickler. Did you have a nice Christmas Day? Watch Gavin & Stacey, Bullseye, Wallace & Gromit? I didn’t, but I did tape the last two. I’ve been choked with the cold ever since all the shop stuff was done. I guess that’s what the body does - wait until you’re in a relaxed state then hit you with the lurgy.
It’s just as well there’s a ton of football on the telly. This will be my set up for today.
For those going to the football it’s an early start to shake off the cobwebs. I’m playing the football widow as my wife and daughter or off to march on Tynecastle. The captain’s have been sizing each other up, both teams won their last game so this reeks of a standard Edinburgh Derby draw. You never know though.
As I said in more detail in Monday’s newsletter a paywall will kick in after a couple of cartoons now. That’s to reflect the value in the work that I do as it’s support from paid subscribers that allow me to produce this newsletter every weekday.
The good news is that for current free subscribers I have an offer on over Christmas and New Year. Works out at about 11p a day for The Stickler. Not bad at all.
