Hello
In a bid to help our Euro representatives gain access to the proper leagues (and not die off in the playoffs as per usual) all the Premiership games are postponed except for the Dundee Derby. It’s definitely the most fun Derby to watch. United have been gubbed by Bloomhearts and Celtic but Jim Goodwin insists things are not as bad as they are on the scoreboard. I’d suggest now will be the time to prove that.
Apart from the Cup exit, Dundee are ticking along nicely but, BIG BUT, the Hairy Wotsit has knee knack and could be done for most of the season.
Bobby Wales, decent at Killie, shan at Swansea is the new hope for Steven Pressley.
It’s a tea time kick off on one of the channels, can’t remember which but I’ll be watching.
So how did we get on in Europe. Pretty good actually eh.
Celtic have suddenly become rampant again. I’m not sure how that’s happening to be honest but happening it definitely is. Three high quality goals saw off LASK. Duran and Nygren both showing off their accuracy from distance.
The Champions League proper and another heap of cash are within Celtic’s reach.
We have four teams in the Conference League. Bloomhearts drew 2-2 at home to Rapid Vienna which I fear is not going to be enough for the return leg. James Wilson scored an absolutely fucking beauty though.
Wilson is getting more of a chance this season than he ever did under Derek McInnes.
Yes, good old Derek. The man who talked the talked in the summer and is now moonwalking the walk.
I’m sure Captain Larry is delighted to be coming on at home after 92 minutes. That gave him almost as many minutes on the pitch as his chum Cammy Devlin.
A diabolical foul that according to blue nosed pundits first looked like a penalty to Rangers. The Teddy Bears might be good enough to get through this time but McInnes is playing with fire here, and to add insult to injury he’s ignored Walter’s advice and wore the cardigan again. Arse.
I watched Leith Football team take on Ghent / Gent / Gant last night. It was another game of no highlights from the Leithers but in this case that’s not a problem. Can they do the business at home though? Not sure.
Sadly, Motherwell lost 1-3 at home to Freiburg so that’s their goose cooked.
As I’m writing this the greatest league in the world got underway with Arsenal putting on an exhibition in a 3-0 win over Coventry. I enjoyed covering England at the World Cup so I’m going to regularly been drawing events down south this season. Monday will be a bit of an EPL special. How I work this out for future weeks is something I’m working through.
Enjoy your sporting weekend
Keith

Thanks, Keith. That was really very funny. Høgh holding the pin was particularly good, but the rest was spot-on too. 😂😂😂😂
