Steve Clarke’s open top grill
And there’s Monday Night Football rage
Hello
Thanks for the lovely replies to yesterday’s post. It’s a big move but if you don’t shoot, you don’t score and all that.
England won last night. They were reasonably impressive and rightly should be one of the favourites. As expected, Harold Kane was amongst the goals.
I’m a fair bit more relaxed about England doing well. Maybe it’s an age thing. As excited as their broadcast media get ours are just as bad, if not worse. If Sam Whatshisface and Lee Dixon kicked off like Hamilton and Stewart at the Ullevi or like Lamont, Thommo and Faddy at Hampden we’d be apoplectic with rage about it.
I was mesmerised by Steve Clarke’s press conference a couple of hours ago. Probing questions, fascinating responses. Haha. As if. It was dull, dull, dull.
Talking of hard hitting interviews - look out for this over the weekend.
Fixture release day!
Woo-hoo. Today was the day you found out when you’d be playing the other 11 teams on three occasions. So much intrigue.
The first weekend is spread over four days with every match shown live on Sky Sports which is really going to test the research skills of Crocker, Boyd and Sutton.
Celtic aren’t happy thanks to the combined forces of Calvin Harris and the Commonwealth Games.
Honestly I don’t want to think about the club game too much just now, do you?
Cheers
Keith
