My weekend featured a good chunk of Winter Olympics (oh, Lindsay), an “I told you so” laugh at Scotland in Rome, one Scottish Cup game and no Super Bowl. For the first time in 40 years I’ve taped it to watch in the morning instead of watching live. The Super Bowl is always too rah-rah entertainment for me. The Conference Championships are proper football. I’m such a purist.

I’ll start with one of the greatest goals never scored. Remember when Bloomhearts posted on the socials a contender for “disallowed goal of the season” from Shankland. What a fucking ridder. This wasn’t great in the traditional sense but in the comical sense. I’m talking about Man City’s third against Liverpool.

Pure theatre. Shame it didn’t stand due to THE RULES.

I watched the second half of Celtic v Dundee. Ethan Hamilton ripped the snort out of the ball.

Dundee totally deserved to win. But they didn’t.
