Being a quarter Welsh obviously meant I went through the emotional ringer last night as the Boyos took on Bosnia. Nah…not really. Like most of the Scottish rugby team I felt no affinity whatsoever to the cause.
Wales right fucked it though eh. Still…
….no silver lining for the support there. The Rep of Ire also fucked it in Czechia and Norn Ire were vanquished in Italy. That game was borderline unwatchable thanks to Stephen Fucking Craigan being on comms. I did notice Italy have a big boned striker though. He looked like a beefed up Bryson DeChambeau who had then let himself go.
Back to domestic matters and Steelman Callum Slattery has been given a four match ban (two suspended) for simulation that got Richard King a red card and Willie Collum a red face. Having spoken briefly to Callum it’s clear he’s been harshly dealt with. Slattery had taken the red pill at half time and had entered the Matrix during the second half resulting in him appearing to take a slap.
It’s all very unfortunate. Despite this information Motherwell will not appeal the ban.
