I wanted to start with something I first mentioned on Keith Notes (get subscribing if you haven’t already). I come from a greyhound racing background and you probably know the sport was banned by the Scottish Government a couple of weeks ago. It’s all a bit of a waste of time and money as ‘the dogs’ died on its arse in Scotland some time ago. It’s about class and money though more than animal welfare. Let’s shit on the working class sport while letting the sport of kings horse racing trot on.
This afternoon Gold Dancer won the Novices Chase at Aintree despite breaking his back at the last fence. He was put down straight away. While not disputing greyhounds can suffer injuries in racing and training they don’t have to jump fences their own height with someone on their back who whips their arse to make them go faster.
Don’t get me wrong I used to be big into the gee-gees too. I just hate the double standard.

Masters golf. Scotland’s own Bob MacIntyre made a right funt of it yesterday with his play and his behaviour. This eagle putt went a bit off piste.
Then after going in the water twice he gave the course the finger.
The worst of it is taking it out on your equipment and the course. That’s piss poor. Today started with another double bogey to go to +10.
