Russell’s Rangers Brugged off the park

Another nightmare showing for the beleaguered boss while his Man U doppelgänger plumbs similar depths

Howdy y’all

I haven’t drawn any of the calamitous goals that Rangers conceded last night in their 6-0 embarrassment in Belgium. It’s like shooting fish in a barrel and I’m pretty certain that as long as Russell’s in charge there’ll be plenty more opportunities as there’s no evidence to the contrary. Post match Russ came out with the usual apologies and platitudes.

The Rangers support is not in a forgiving mood and for virtually all of them this was the final straw before the final final straw which would be a defeat on Sunday. The message was loud and clear in the stadium last night and has continued this morning outside Govan Parish Church.

Beautiful harmonies there.

One positive for the support is the imminent arrival of one of my favourite players, Bojan Miovski. A real flick to the private areas of every Aberdeen fan but I personally bear him no ill will. Football is a business after all. I’m sure he won’t celebrate any of his hat trick next time he’s at Pittodrie.

Can I have a quick word

I’ve only managed to get about 6% of my social media followers to sign up to the newsletter and only a small percentage of them have become paying subscribers. That’s a small number that get to see the majority of my cartoons. I’m grateful for all subscribers but I really need a lot more paying subscribers. Partly because I want to draw for as many people as possible but also because there are always bills to pay. I know that everybody’s money is stretched nowadays so until 1st September I’m offering a year of Fitbatweets for just £20. If you can, please become a paying subscriber.

After the turnstile…….Manchester United cave in again and it’s the turn of Aberdeen and Leith Football Team to disappoint in Europe.
