Should have been sacked after his first Euros. Tournaments have never been easier to qualify and all this nonsense that he is our most successful manager ever is just down to a poor understanding of maths. The most arrogant uninspiring negative manager ever and I look forward to supporting Scotland again when he is gone.
This tournament is a new low for Scotland. Despite the optimism of so many about finally getting through to the next round this time, in the biggest tournament ever with more chance of getting through than there ever has been they still couldn't do it.
Never been a big fan of Clarke. Sure on paper he's done a good job by qualifying for 3 tournaments, but the first 5 game winning run of the Euro qualifiers is the only impressive run of form under him imo. The rest has mostly been squeezing past average teams or playing against 10 men. People got carried away after the Denmark game (maybe understandably), being completely outplayed by 10 men then scoring two screamers when they'd run out of steam.
Completely out of his depth at the finals stage, uninspiring, stale, and if Dykes isn't playing to play long balls to they often look like they don't know what they're doing.
It feels like time should be up for Clarke. But that contract extension may mean otherwise. It looks like a mix of the players not executing a plan properly, combined with it being a very thin and ineffective plan.
I would need an entire book to go into the failings of the entire Scottish set up but until Clarke's bosses get the f**k out of football we will underperform until eternity.
However and here's always an however your invention of he nickname 'Vrankenstein' is going to be banded about the Wheatfeild Stand in a good way, thanks for that. I'm pleased that the tanned badger is off to his natural home, somewhere out West I believe. I think we have got the upgrade we need.

However, we now move into a transition period with players closer to retirement than their peak and maybe a more positive approach to actually scoring goals will be the next step and with it a new coach.

Couldn’t agree more. Glad we are out. No drive, no desire. As others said we were just there to survive. Simply not good enough.
