Hello

Monday was a day of slow burning anger and disappointment round Aberdeen way. The hapless coaching staff critiqued the players…

….and the players critiqued themselves.

Actually these are all quotes from Captain Shinnie about the collective. Nobody is hurting as much as the players. Not quite hurting enough to track back, close down or win duels but you know their heart’s in the right place.

At this point these words should just wash over the support. They are hollow, empty, meaningless. I’d rather Shinnie came out and said “I fell apart, I had no fire, I had no hunger, I had no fight. And this is why”. That’s not going to happen.

My newsletter sales pitch managed to get me three new subscribers last week. It’s a start but it would help me hugely if more people became paying subscribers. I’m offering a special price this month.

In an effort to get this newsletter to more eyes can I ask for a couple of things please.

  1. Likes, shares, comments help to promote the newsletter more across the Substack community so please do that if you can.

  2. If you’re currently a free subscriber please consider switching to becoming a paying subscriber. It really does make all the difference to supporting my work.

Subscribe now for only £2 a month by taking out an annual subscription at the special and limited time price of £24.

It’s the 10th of March and that means February manager of the month awards. It must take 10 days to smelt the awards or something. It’s no surprise that the Premiership winner was defeated by the wiles of Pressley on Saturday.
