Hello everyone

We start with a public service announcement. Should your team have drawn or lost over the weekend, remember these wise words from Russell Martin.

It just feels like it.

It is the end of the managerial road though for Office Don Cowie. Put out of his corporate misery after just three league games. As always, Don was level headed about the whole thing.

Can I have a quick word

I’ve spoken before about the purpose of Fitbatweets being to bring joy to a readers day by having a wee laugh about the football. To serve that purpose I want to reach as many people as possible whilst recognising that I’m trying to make a living from it for my family.

I was struck by this Instagram post from an account that has 1.1 million followers.

War & Peas on Instagram

I’ve only managed to get about 6% of my social media followers to sign up to the newsletter and only a small percentage of them have become paying subscribers. That’s a small number that get to see the majority of my cartoons. I’m grateful for all subscribers but I really need a lot more paying subscribers. Partly because I want to draw for as many people as possible but also because there are always bills to pay. I know that everybody’s money is stretched nowadays so for the next week I’m offering a year of Fitbatweets for just £20. If you can, please become a paying subscriber.

Also, fuck AI.
