Dire and Ice
Everything in the garden is gloomy
Hello
I didn’t end up going to Easter Road which means I missed Matthew MacDermid so it’s not all bad.
I pulled an all nighter on Saturday night to watch the Bears game. It looked like a lost cause until the Iceman did his thing again.
The Bears have their head coach and their QB. Only taken 40 years of my fandom to get there. It is joyous though. I ended up going to sleep about 7am Sunday.
Of course this has knocked my body sideways and will do for a few days. Too old for this shit.
I did manage to catch the end of the Dundee v Bloomhearts game so I did see the save of saves from Scotland’s number one.
Will he be Bloomhearts number one? The data will decide.
The Sadness
I watched Aberdeen v Rangers. The weather was like a cloak of gloom draped over Pittodrie. Rangers won handily enough despite being very ordinary. Ordinary is good enough against Aberdeen though. The drop off from the highs of the cup final is staggering. Every position has been downgraded from then, mostly by recruitment but also a complete loss of form. Like goalie Dimi Mitov who was fortunate to have a ‘get out of jail’ card.
