Hello

I’m not feeling the best today so this edition is brought to you in a mixture of hot and cold sweats. Which is nice. Apologies for the lateness as Lewis Stevenson puts Raith Rovers into a first minute lead in the Fife Derby.

I’m going to start in Leith because that’s where I was. Just like last week Leith Football Team made a fast start without scoring. Then Legia got a bit more control and eventually a penalty for a handball against Rocky. Felt harsh but then you’ve got no idea what’s going on when you’re in the stadium. Legia grabbed a second just on half time and thankfully had a second half third goal cancelled for a very close offside.

Leith needed a goal and they got it in the 87th minute thanks to Josh Mulligan. You couldn’t go wrong with a team of Josh Mulligan’s.

The ref was one of those who thinks every foul needs a yellow card. Maybe our officials aren’t really that bad.

Difficult to see Leith winning in Warsaw but stranger things have happened and look what they did in Belgrade.

Got home from Easter Road and sat down to watch Aberdeen v FCSB having successfully avoided the score. Don’t know about you but I cannot watch a game that’s already been played without heavy use of the fast forward button. No patience for it at all.

Cue a few “for fuck’s sake” shouts at the TV as the Dons conceded two woeful goals. At that stage you’d be well within your rights to question Jimmy Thelin’s starting line up. Heltne Nilsen and Yengi in particular. How does Nilsen consistently get a start?

Half time saw the start of the changes as the statue upfront was taken back to the museum. But really it was Dante Polvara who was the difference maker. I’ve been a huge fan of his going back to that goal in Frankfurt. He brings urgency, passion and no little skill, his goal was a fucking beauty. Ester Sokler nodded in a last minute equaliser to make it all to play for in Bucharest next week.

Consider that several bullets dodged Jimmy.

I’ve added two new designs to the Fitbatweets shop.

Aberdeen’s Scottish Cup final penalty shoot out in all its glory is available as a print in A3 and A4.

And Kieron Bowie’s wonder goal from last week has been given the Fitbatweets treatment. That’s also an A4 and A3 print and it’s on a mug too.

These and more are available to order by clicking here

After the turnstile….it’s Friday and that means The Roaster.
