Clarke fires ‘you’ve got to play for your club’ warning to Scotland’s World Cup hopefuls*
Plus Celtic clock up the air miles with Champions League qualification on the line
Hello everyone
World Cup qualifying is right around the corner and Steve Clarke has picked his squad for the away double header. There’s no real surprises. Well, maybe one.
Steve has had a word with the squad that they need to be playing regularly for their clubs (* does not apply to Grant Hanley). Gannon Doak he was looking at you.
I’ll hold my hands up I don’t know who Dom Hyam is and had to look him up. Still that’s not quite as embarrassing as new assistant manager thinking that Dom Hyam was a religious greeting.
We’ve all been there Stevie.
Can I have a quick word
I’ve spoken before about the purpose of Fitbatweets being to bring joy to a readers day by having a wee laugh about the football. To serve that purpose I want to reach as many people as possible whilst recognising that I’m trying to make a living from it for my family.
I’ve only managed to get about 6% of my social media followers to sign up to the newsletter and only a small percentage of them have become paying subscribers. That’s a small number that get to see the majority of my cartoons. I’m grateful for all subscribers but I really need a lot more paying subscribers. Partly because I want to draw for as many people as possible but also because there are always bills to pay. I know that everybody’s money is stretched nowadays so until 1st September I’m offering a year of Fitbatweets for just £20. If you can, please become a paying subscriber.
HALF PRICE FITBATWEETS FOR A YEAR!!
This offer will only run until the transfer window slams shut.

After the turnstile, it’s a behind the scenes look at Celtic’s trip to Kazakhstan.
