Celts make an Almaty mess of Champions League qualifying
Failures at every level condemn Celtic to Europa League hell. Plus Hamza gets his way.
Hello everyone
You did Brendan, so you can ram your bobbly pitch bollocks. Celtic are out of the Champions League at the qualifying stage. A shambles that falls on the board, management and players. My exclusive story from Kazakhstan is the main feature of today’s newsletter.
But first a good luck message to our three teams competing in Europe today. Hibernian Women and Glasgow City kick off their Champions League campaigns in Cyprus and Vienna. Rangers are In Bruge trying to turn around a 3-1 first leg deficit. Clue - they won’t. Their task is all the harder without striker Hamza Igamane who’s refusal to play on Sunday has worked a treat.
Can I have a quick word
I’ve spoken before about the purpose of Fitbatweets being to bring joy to a readers day by having a wee laugh about the football. To serve that purpose I want to reach as many people as possible whilst recognising that I’m trying to make a living from it for my family.
I’ve only managed to get about 6% of my social media followers to sign up to the newsletter and only a small percentage of them have become paying subscribers. That’s a small number that get to see the majority of my cartoons. I’m grateful for all subscribers but I really need a lot more paying subscribers. Partly because I want to draw for as many people as possible but also because there are always bills to pay. I know that everybody’s money is stretched nowadays so until 1st September I’m offering a year of Fitbatweets for just £20. If you can, please become a paying subscriber.
HALF PRICE FITBATWEETS FOR A YEAR!!
This offer will only run until the transfer window slams shut.
